Question by mnellessen: Thinking about starting own plumbing “business”/side work…please help!? My father has been a plumber in the union in IL for about 20 years now. Things are slow at his job and he has been thinking about going “on his own.” He has been doing side jobs locally just on a “I know a guy” basis for a really long time. If we decide to push his side work–as in making business cards, putting up a website, getting a bank account, and all that fun stuff, would we have to do anything different?
