Is a WordPress or Blogspot a better place to host your blog?

Question by Jerry Hammer: Is a WordPress or Blogspot a better place to host your blog?
I noticed that WordPress charges a fee for you to make changes to your blog and blogspot doesn’t..But does wordpress have some other advantage over google’s blogspot that I’m missing?

The fee is ONLY if you want to add and change a blog-wide CSS file. (I pay it, and it’s only $ 15 a year – a little bit more than a paperback book, so what the heck?)

If you don’t add a blog-wide CSS file, you can easily get around it by adding INLINE CSS here and there to your blog entries. Like, enter your blog entries in HTML with

(I did that for awhile, but figured the $ 15 would be worth it, to save me some typing: I'm a lazy cuss.)

I would recommend WordPress over Blogspot any day of the week. (I've tried both.) I rewrote my entire Blogspot template. You could do that, if you want the ULTIMATE control, but you'll have to dig down in Google's convoluted help files to learn their XML.

Support? Blogspot:0, WordPress FTW

Control panel? WordPress FTW

Oh, and check the "static pages" you can add to WordPress. Won't find those at Blogspot!
